Kljub številnim opozorilom se še vedno prepogosto dogaja, da kakšen pes v razgreti pločevini čaka svojega gospodarja. Vsako leto lahko beremo o vsaj nekaj primerih, ki se končajo s smrtjo psa.
Pod vročim poletnim soncem temperatura v avtu hitro narašča in izgovor »saj je bilo le za hip« ne more opravičiti nepremišljenega in neodgovornega ravnanja, kakor tudi ne ublažiti morebitnih posledic.
